Okay first of all to Mr. Ravi. If you hated that show so much, seeing as you has soo many negative comments, why the f*** did you watch it. And you say oh because of Ravi. I agree Ravi is an absolutely awesome singer, but if you hated it that much you should have just STOPPED WATCHING IT!!! Honestly, i just hate it when people watch these shows and actually keep track of it, only to come online to talk sh*t about it! honestly! Get a life losers!
Now Chinmaye not showing up is really sad, apparently though, not to sure about this, but she had started to help Raagini voice train. But that still doesn’t give any excuse for not having her on the show afterward. She was really a good anchor and honestly i found NO negative comments to say about her. It is very sad that Mr. Ravi obviously watched this show however, well had soo much negativity. STOP WATCHING IT IF U DUN LIKE IT DUMBASS! <– not to be rude (no offense to u)
Though i agree that Ravi (singer) was excellent and very consistent, in the end it was who the people liked. During the journey both Ravi and Ajesh i don’t think, leaving one or two exceptions, were down to the eliminations round. Ajesh had a little slip in the western round near the end, but made a huge come back with the next round and was chosen to continue. They were both definitely awesome and the judges knew it and kept them in the game. HOWEVER, the last round, the finals was up to the people, and well the people decided by choosing Ajesh. Now he totally won by a land slide because 500,000 votes were in or in other words 5 lakhs. Out of that 5 lakhs ajesh got 2.5 lakhs. THAT IS HALF THE AMOUNT OF VOTES ENTERED!! no one stood next to him. He absolutely deserved to win! His voice is extraordinary, as is Ravi’s, but ajesh is something special and he won!
I’m ecstatic and i can’t wait to hear Ajesh in the movies singins his OWN song!!! I JUST CANT WAIT!!!!!

but, the points made by commenter @ravi are also true. Afrer jan 09, airtel super singer became like a mega serial indeed. And he also stated that vijay tv will come up with new super singer program which is going to run for more than 1 yr. In fact, its about to start… Airtel Super Singer Junior 2. Though i am fan of these shows, i really hate the dramas that happen on the screen. like introducing the family.. contestants going to temples. .. contestants crying … those stupid masala should be stopped ..

Actually, the program itself lost its relevance when the producer started extending it like a ‘mega serial’. At one point I thought this will drag on till 2010 december ))

It was just a tamasha. I was only tuning in to hear Ravi.

In the very first round itself anyone could spot that Ravi would be the ultimate winner.

Though I don’t want to get into malayalam/tamil issue, right from the beginning it was a bit weird to see a tamil programme on a tamil channel, anchored by a malayalee girl Chinmayee, who speaks tamil so fast that it takes time to understand what exactly she was saying, with a weirder signoff – Shabbakhair or something like that!

A confused malayalee anchoring a tamil music talent competition for selecting a singer for a Tamil music director ending the programme in some gibberish Punjabi! Can you beat it???

After a while, she was replaced with another fat female with super padded up bosom wear making ugly facial expressions while talking and constantly looking at her husband than at the camera!.

And her husband (a Nair!) was looking lost every time his wife starts talking with the mike securely stuck on her lower chin. I thought our mouth speaks into a mike not a chin! Believe me, every time she opened her mouth, my finger closed in on the ‘mute’ button on my TV remote.

Broadcasting ministry needs to tighten the guidelines for conducting talent shows. Maximum permissible episode should be 26.

I am shuddering that Vijay TV will comeout with another singer competition, which perhaps will run longer that the just completed one. Experience you see, will make them realise how they can milk money from poor audiences.

thats an awesome analysis Ravi. In fact, i too felt that vijay tv made this in to a mega serial afer December 2008 and they ran out of ideas and very often repeated the same things.

But, i liked chinmaye than malini and yugendran nair. Chinmaye was more gorgeous and better in tamil anchring. I don’t know what went behind the screens and she was replaced by the other two. Yugendran is a new comer in anchoring tv shows. so, its not a bad attempt at all for him.

Yes…. me too was very upset that chinmayee did not appear at all, as she was the one who started of in the super singer… She must have been invited for the show…I expected her .. She is good in managing the show perfectly …. There is no need for DD or Hema or Yugi to appear…

thats right. Also, i feel chinmaye is more musically talented than yugi or malini. Once i saw chinmaye at chennai airport along with Yesudas, and she was damn beautiful and charming. Am really expecting her to host at least the Vijay TV Airtel Super Singer Junior.

I mean you know all the news from the show and you’ve obviously been watching from the start considering ur comments about Chinmaye. Mr. Ravi you must agree that it was definitely great watching these wonderful singers this past year and i am acutally very sad it’s over because it was definitely a blast watching it.
Though Malini and Yugi weren’t as good as Chinmaye they were not as bad as you say they are, and i’m sure people will agree to that!
